Enrollment Analysis: American Indian students comprised 0.3% of Middlesex County Public Schools District's student body in 2023-24 school year

There were four American Indian students enrolled in Middlesex County Public Schools District in the 2023-24 school year, the same number as the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Data showed that Middlesex County Public Schools District welcomed 1,226 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, American Indian students comprised 0.3% of the student body to be the least represented ethnicity in the school.

Middlesex County Public Schools District roughly covers schools within Middlesex County and has a main office in Saluda.

Among the three schools in Middlesex County Public Schools District, Middlesex Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of American Indian students in the 2023-24 school year.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools have an average student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1, slightly better than the national average of 15:1. Minority students, primarily Hispanic and Black, make up 54% of the enrollment, while white students constitute 46%.
