King William County schools welcomed 77 pre-kindergarten students in 2023-24 school year

There were 77 pre-kindergarten students enrolled in King William County schools in the 2023-24 school year, 8.5% more than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

The school that enrolled the largest number of pre-kindergarten students in the county was Cool Spring Primary School.

Within King William County schools, the largest number of students were found in 10th-grade, while pre-kindergarten had the least students.

Statewide, King William County ranked 77th in enrollment numbers. It was ranked 78th the year before.

As of November 2023, according to Public Schools Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools nationwide.
