262 Black students enrolled in King and Queen County Public Schools District in 2023-24 school year

There were 262 Black students enrolled in King and Queen County Public Schools District in the 2023-24 school year, 0.8% less than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Data showed that King and Queen County Public Schools District welcomed 855 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, Black students comprised 30.6% of the student body to be the second most represented ethnicity in the school.

King and Queen County Public Schools District roughly covers schools within King and Queen County and has a main office in King And Queen CH.

Among the three schools in King and Queen County Public Schools District, Lawson-Marriott Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Black students in the 2023-24 school year.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools have an average student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1, slightly better than the national average of 15:1. Minority students, primarily Hispanic and Black, make up 54% of the enrollment, while white students constitute 46%.
