City of Radford issued the following announcement on Aug. 9

Sealed Bids for the construction of the UNIVERSITY DR. OVER NSRR REHABILITATION AND APPROACH

MODIFICATIONS (“Project”) will be received by City of Radford at the office of the Engineering and GIS Department, 10 Robertson Street, Radford, VA 24141, until 4pm local time on September 14, 2021, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of bridge repairs and improvements and approach modifications on University Drive.

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. The project will be constructed using the most current Virginia Department of Transportation, Road and Bridge Specifications and Standards (unless otherwise stated in the bid documents).

The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: City of Radford Engineering and GIS Department Department, 10 Robertson Street, Radford, VA 24141. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 A.M and 5 P.M., and

may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Bidding Documents are available electronically (pdf) without cost from the issuing office via downloading from City’s Web Page. Paper sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any.

A virtual pre-bid conference will be held at 10am local time on Monday, August 23, 2021. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory. Please send an e-mail to Jay Eanes at jay.eanes@radfordva.gov and Lisa Dalton at ldalton@wrallp.com to request an invite to the pre-bid meeting.

All questions shall be sent to Jay Eanes at jay.eanes@radfordva.gov and Lisa Dalton at ldalton@wrallp.com. All e-mails sent shall include ‘University Drive over NSRR’ in the e-mail subject line. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
