King and Queen County Education: Fewer students enrolled in King and Queen County Public Schools District in 2023-24 school year

The only school district in King and Queen County suffered declining enrollment in the 2023-24 school year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

There were 855 students in King and Queen County Public Schools District, 0.3% less than the year before.

Enrollment in King and Queen County was steady with the state's trend of decreasing enrollment.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2023-24 school year, 50.1% of them were male, and 49.9% were female.

The most represented ethnicity among King and Queen County Public Schools District students was white, accounting for 46.8% of the student population.

King and Queen County Public Schools District has a main office in King And Queen CH and is the only school district within King and Queen County.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14 in the 2023-24 school year, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools.
