2023-24 School Year Enrollment: 214 7th-grade students welcomed in King William County schools

There were 214 7th-grade students enrolled in King William County schools in the 2023-24 school year, 1.4% fewer than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

The school that enrolled the largest number of 7th-grade students in the county was Hamilton Holmes Middle School.

Within King William County schools, the largest number of students were found in 10th-grade, while pre-kindergarten had the least students.

Statewide, King William County ranked 77th in enrollment numbers. It was ranked 78th the year before.

As of November 2023, according to Public Schools Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools nationwide.
