Enrollment Analysis: Multiracial students comprised 7.5% of New Kent County Public Schools District's student body in 2023-24 school year

There were 266 multiracial students enrolled in New Kent County Public Schools District in the 2023-24 school year, 19.8% more than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Data showed that New Kent County Public Schools District welcomed 3,536 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, multiracial students comprised 7.5% of the student body to be the third most represented ethnicity in the school.

New Kent County Public Schools District roughly covers schools within New Kent County and has a main office in New Kent.

Among the five schools in New Kent County Public Schools District, New Kent High School recorded the highest enrollment of multiracial students in the 2023-24 school year.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools have an average student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1, slightly better than the national average of 15:1. Minority students, primarily Hispanic and Black, make up 54% of the enrollment, while white students constitute 46%.
