Shots Fired Report 12/5/2022: West Main St.
On December 3rd at approximately 7:45 p.m., Charlottesville police officers responded to the 800 block of West Main St. for a shots fired report.
The individual was transported to the University of Virginia medical center for the treatment of a non-life-threatening injury. Charlottesville police detectives were called to the scene and were able to quickly determine that the individual had suffered a self-inflicted gunshot. This is an ongoing investigation and no further details will be released at this time.
