City of Charlottesville issued the following announcement on Feb. 2
By order of Charlottesville City Council, the meeting time for the February 7, 2022 City Council Meeting will change from 5:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
At the City Council Retreat on January 26, City Council agreed to hear reports beginning at 4:00 p.m. on the first and third Mondays each month (or Tuesday if Monday is a holiday), whereas the 4:00 p.m. start time had been observed on the third Monday.
An action item will be included on the February 22 City Council meeting to formally adopt an amended schedule for the year.
The meeting will take place electronically on the Zoom platform in accordance with a local ordinance amended and re-enacted on October 4, 2021, to ensure the continuity of government and prevent the spread of disease during the coronavirus State of Emergency. Registration will be made available at www.charlottesville.gov/zoom. The meeting will also be available for viewing on the City of Charlottesville’s regular broadcast platforms including Charlottesville TV10 and Facebook.
