Gloucester County issued the following announcement on Aug. 11
Back by popular demand, Gloucester’s Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department will host another communitywide movie night, this time being a “Movie in the Park.” The newly released Disney film, “Raya and the Last Dragon” will be shown on the large screen Saturday, Aug. 28 at Woodville Park, Ordinary. The movie will begin at 7:30 p.m.
“It seems like there continues to be negative news surrounding us these days, so we thought it was time to bring the community together again in a safe way for some enjoyable entertainment,” said Katey Legg, Director of the Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department. “We really hope you will consider joining us in watching this popular fantasy film.”
Tickets to view the movie are $5 per person, and children under the age of three do not require a ticket. Concessions will be available onsite, but visitors are welcome to bring their own food and drinks. Visitors are strongly encouraged to bring bug spray and cabin chairs, as the movie will be shown in a grassy area. No alcohol will be permitted on County property.
Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.gloucesterva.info/civicrec. Tickets will be scanned onsite, so visitors are encouraged to either print their tickets or have a digital receipt ready for check-in. Also, its hould be noted that the playground at Woodville will close at sunset, so that will not be available during most of the event.
