Radford Recreation Commission seeks July 4th input

The Radford Recreation Commission would like your thoughts and suggestions for our 2022 July 4th “Spirit of America Celebration”.  The Commission has been working diligently on making the event the best ever and would love to hear your suggestions and comments.  Bands already scheduled for the event include former Statler Brother Jimmy Fortune returning for his 20th year, the Cat 5 band specializing in country and beach music as well as classic rock, R&B/soul music, and 80’s pop rock along with the LUA project playing  Mexilachian music-a blend of Mexican and Appalachian folk songs.

If you have a band you would like the Recreation Commission to consider for an afternoon slot on the program, please email your suggestion to:  Ken.Goodyear@radfordva.gov by Wednesday, December 15.  Please include any pertinent information such as the group’s website and contact information.

The Commission also welcomes suggestions and comments on food and craft vendors as well as  other recommendations you may have.

Looking forward to our most successful July 4th ever.
