NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON AN ORDINANCE PROPOSING TO GRANT A NON-EXCLUSIVE FRANCHISE

The Radford City Council will hold a public hearing on June 13, 2022 at 7:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers at 10 Robertson Street to receive public comment on an ordinance proposing to grant a non-exclusive franchise for a natural gas transmission and distribution system in the City of Radford, Virginia.  A copy of the full text of the ordinance, including the terms of the proposed franchise agreement, may be obtained by contacting the Office of the City Clerk at (540) 731-3603.  

In addition, bids are hereby invited for the franchise proposed to be granted under the ordinance.

All bids must be in writing and submitted to the Office of the City Clerk at 10 Robertson Street, Radford, Virginia 24141 or at Jenni.Goodman@radfordva.gov.   ALL BIDS MUST BE RECEIVED BY JUNE 13, 2022 AT 5 P.M.  Bids will be opened and read aloud during public session at Council’s regular meeting on June 13, 2022 at 7 PM.  After the reading of the bids, Council will proceed with consideration of the proposed ordinance and franchise.  Council reserves the right reject any and all bids and to defer action until a subsequent meeting.
