It is National School Bus Safety Week

It is National School Bus Safety Week! Here are some helpful reminders to help keep our children, neighbors, and community safe:

Plan a little extra time for your commute, as there will be more traffic, and slower traffic, with students being picked up and dropped off from school.

Put your phones down. Do not talk, text, or post to social media while driving. It is the law!

Watch for children preparing to get on and off school buses.

Slow down and prepare to stop whenever you see yellow school bus lights flashing.

Never pass a school bus when there are red lights flashing and the stop arm is extended.

Motorist must wait until the red lights stop flashing, the stop sign has been withdrawn, and the bus is moving before they can drive again.

Let’s work together to protect our children and zero in on bus safety. Learn more by visiting, https://ncsrsafety.org/national-school-bus-safety-week-2022.
