County of New Kent issued the following announcement on Jan. 4
New Kent County is offering free Christmas tree recycling this year at the brush recycling area of the main refuse site located at 6301 Olivet Church Road, New Kent VA 23124. All trees must be free of ornaments, lights, tinsel and hardware prior to dropoff. This is the only location in New Kent for recycling drop off of Christmas trees.
The refuse site is open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Trash and recycling drop off at the refuse sites are open only to residents of New Kent County. Further information can be found at:
