Ferrum College Athletics issued the following announcement on Nov. 5
The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) has announced the 2021-22 women's basketball preseason poll, and Ferrum College has been selected to finish 10th in the 12 team league.
Roanoke College has been picked to win the league with 118 points, including nine first place votes. Randolph-Macon College has been selected to finish second with 105 points and picked up two first place votes. Washington and Lee University was picked to finish third in the pole with 95 points.

Kayla Cabiness returns after averaging 15.8 points per game last season. Cabiness was named to the ODAC All-Conference team in 2020-21.
Also back is Aisha Martin, who averaged 11.3 points per game, Cameron Hawkins, who averaged 11 points per game, and Jacy Marvin, who averaged 10.2 points and averaged almost 36% from behind the three point line.
Ferrum opens the season Saturday, November 6, on the road at Meredith College. The non-conference game is set for a 2:00 p.m. in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Panthers play their home opener Thursday, November 11, against Greensboro College. The non-conference game tips off at 5:00 p.m. in Swartz Gymnasium.
